Smt. Sunitidevi Singhania School organized a full day 2nd Intra- Youth Parliament event on the 1st October, 2022, at school premises to discuss “The economic situation post covid-19.”

The students of class 8 took part in the event as parliamentarians of both the Houses - Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The entire event was divided into 3 sessions namely “Zero Hour”,” Question Hour” and “Legislative Business.” Every participant was mapped to an existing member of the Indian Parliament. They dressed and spoke based on the role allocated on various topics ranging from education, animal cruelty, safety of women and children, crime rates, the problems faced by the common man and much more. Impromptu topics too were tabled for discussion, debate and consensus. Some of the important topics were– the side effects suffered by our youth due to covishield. ‘Unemployment ‘, ‘poverty’. All participants received a certificate and trophies and medals were distributed to students who excelled. It was a rewarding experience for all participants – as students got an opportunity to practically experience the parliamentary proceedings and hone their leadership, team work, debating skills and sharpen their understanding of Parliamentary procedures.
