The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with immense pride and enthusiasm at school, in spite of the heavy rains that threatened to dampen the morning’s spirit. Rising to the occasion, the Senate marched with determination and patriotic fervour, braving the downpour with remarkable spirit. The flag was hoisted amidst `Vande Mataram` and the National Anthem, followed by an Environmental Pledge reaffirming our commitment to protecting nature and every species. This was followed by a 'Nasha Mukt Bharat' pledge, where students and staff took a collective vow to stay away from drugs and promote a healthy, addiction-free society. Our Principal, Mrs Lakshmi Madhusudan addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech, highlighting the values of freedom, unity, and responsibility, and urging students to contribute towards building a stronger and greener India. The celebrations continued with soulful medleys by Ganga and Vindhya Houses, followed by other inspiring speeches envisioning an India founded on equality, opportunity, and unity. A spectacular, energetic dance performance on patriotic songs electrified the audience, drawing enthusiastic cheers. The celebration concluded with the Tiranga Song, leaving everyone filled with pride, patriotism, and the indomitable spirit of India.
