Learning addition helps children develop essential skills like number sense, attention to detail, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. To enhance these skills in Grade 1, we conducted a hands-on addition activity centered around butterflies. Students were given various addition problems and asked to solve them by sticking the correct number of button stickers onto a butterfly template. This interactive approach not only made learning fun but also allowed students to grasp addition concepts in a creative and engaging way. The children excelled in solving the problems, demonstrating their understanding through this unique method.
