*Smt Sunitidevi Singhania School Shines at Vrukshavalli* The students and teachers of Smt Sunitidevi Singhania School recently participated in the prestigious TMC event, Vrukshavalli, held from February 14th to 16th. The event's theme, "Biodiversity using Rainbow colours," inspired our school's arts students, as well as students from std. 7 and 8, to create a stunning 3D model that showcased their creativity and talent. Under the guidance of our science and art teachers, the students worked tirelessly to bring their vision to life. The result was a vibrant and informative display that highlighted the importance of biodiversity and the role that each colour of the rainbow plays in our ecosystem. Our thought behind our display: As we are aware the colours of nature add to its beauty. These colours exist naturally and are an integral part of our ecosystem. Human activity leads to demands on the natural ecosystem thereby causing a disturbance. This leads to long term implications ranging from habitat loss to extinction of species In light of this reality we will experience a lot of change in our surroundings, however our world will not be colourless. It still will be bright & colourful, however this time they will not be natural colours of a biodiverse nature. They will be those of MAN MADE COLOURS. We were honoured when Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Eknath Shinde who inaugurated the event, took out some time to visit our stall. He interacted with our students. Students were elated to meet him and were motivated by his presence. We are thrilled to announce that our school's art teacher, Mrs. Surbhipriya Deshpande, received the 3rd prize in the 'Open Category', a testament to her exceptional skill and dedication. Additionally, Prassanna Dhokale, one of our talented students, bagged an award in the drawing competition, making us all proud. The school also received the 'Badge of Honour' award for its participation in the event, recognizing our commitment to promoting biodiversity and environmental awareness. The three-day event was an enriching experience for both students and teachers, who had the opportunity to interact with visitors, conduct quizzes, and showcase their knowledge and creativity. The stalls set up by our students were a huge hit, with visitors of all ages engaging with our young ambassadors and learning about the importance of preserving our planet's biodiversity. Our Principal, Mrs. Lakshmi Madhusudan, appreciated the hard work and effort put in by the teachers and students, saying, "I am incredibly proud of our students and teachers for their outstanding performance at Vrukshavalli. This event has not only showcased their talent and creativity but also highlighted the importance of teamwork, dedication, and environmental awareness." We congratulate all the participants, winners, and organizers of Vrukshavalli for making this event a resounding success and look forward to participating in more such events in the future.
