The Mission of Scouting and Guiding is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in the society.

The vision of Bharat Scouts & Guides is to insist on a sense of responsibility, trustworthiness and promote self-control. Providing young people with attractive, challenging, value-based and life skill development youth programmes through competent leaders, effective communication, optimum use of resources and efficient management.

We, at Smt. Sunitidevi Singhania School, Thane, conducted our First Indoor Scouts and Guide Camp on the 4th of February, 2023.

The students of Std.5, 6 and 7 dressed in their uniform looked like little soldiers standing in perfect rows in the school ground. The camp began with the Bharat Scouts & Guide prayer followed by troop leaders giving a brief synopsis of the Scouts & Guides mission.

The Bharat Scouts & Guides flag was unfurled and the scarf ceremony was conducted by our school Head, Mrs. Lakshmi Madhusudan Madam.

The students then returned to their classes and geared up for the competition which followed. All Scouts and Guide of Std.5, 6 and 7 were judged based on the decoration of their classes based on the theme - Seasons of the year. They also took part in sensory games and prepared delectable food items without fire.

A Scouts and Guides camp is never complete without a CampFire. To add to the excitement all the students put up a short performance to entertain their batchmates. Here too, they kept the competition going by putting their best foot forward.

Through these activities the students learned the importance of teamwork, collaboration, interdependence and how a competition can be intense yet enjoyable. All in all it was a fun-filled day which was thoroughly enjoyed by these remarkable Scouts and Guides.
