The study of Mathematics, like the Nile, begins in minuteness but ends in magnificence. Keeping this view in mind, Smt. Sunitidevi Singhania School, celebrated National Mathematics Day i.e. 22.12.2022. The programme began with a short introduction of legendary Srinivasa Ramanujan on his birth anniversary by a student of grade 8. In addition to this, students of grade 8 presented a beautiful skit on the significance of Mathematics in our lives, followed by a mesmerising dance with live singing performance. Moreover, students of grade 5 performed a wonderful skit representing ‘Story of zero’. In order to create interest in students in Mathematics, various activities like Math rangoli, Math puzzles, BMI calculation, poster making on Math in real life/Tessellation-designs and face mask making using different Mathematical shapes were conducted across students of grade 5 to 8. It was fun-filled experience for the students. The school also organised Mathematics exhibition in which the students participated enthusiastically. The idea underlying these activities was to encourage logical thinking in students and love for the subject.
