Young Voices Shape the Nation - Youth Parliament The 7th Intra-School Youth Parliament session at Smt Sunitidevi Singhania School on 8th November 2025 was organized to acquaint students of grade VIII with the functioning of the Parliament and to promote awareness of democratic values. The Chief Guest, Dr Gaurav Gadgil, Associate Professor & I/c Director, School of Civilization Studies of Somaiya Vidyavihar University addressed the gathering and motivated the students to become responsible citizens and active contributors to the nation’s progress. Parliamentarians took on the roles of the Members of Parliament, and presented their views and debates on various national issues with confidence and clarity. The external resource person, Ms Neha Mishra, graced the occasion and provided valuable guidance and feedback, enriching the students’ understanding of the parliamentary process. The event was evaluated by a panel of internal and external judges, who appreciated the participants for their research, presentation, and debating skills. An engaging discussion on “One Nation, One Election” was held by the Lok Sabha Committee, where members put forth diverse viewpoints and substantiated them with detailed research. The Principal, Mrs Lakshmi Madhusudan remarked that the event had greatly deepened the understanding of democratic principles and inspired the students to become responsible and informed citizens. It was a memorable experience that motivated students to take an active interest in the nation’s governance and civic life.
