Smt. Sunitidevi Singhania School, renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development hosted its 4th Intra-School Youth Parliament on July 20, 2024. The Chief Guest for the event, Dr Madhumita Bandyopadhyay inspired our students to take on leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to society, reinforcing their commitment to making a positive impact. The students of grade 8 participated becoming Members of the Parliament which simulated an experiential learning, giving students a hands-on understanding of governance and public speaking. This year’s session brought together students who debated and discussed critical issues faced by today's society. Participants with the guidance of the judge for the event Mr Sanket Gaikwad were tasked with crafting speeches, proposing legislation, and working collaboratively to navigate complex political scenarios. The topics for this year’s debates include environmental sustainability, digital privacy, and the role of youth in national development. By engaging with these pertinent issues, students not only developed their analytical and rhetorical skills but also gained insights into the legislative process and the importance of civic engagement. Principal of Smt. Sunitidevi Singhania School, Mrs Lakshmi Madhusudhan, expressed enthusiasm about the event, stating, "The Intra-School Youth Parliament is a testament to our dedication to nurturing informed and responsible future leaders.
