The festival of Gudi Padwa marks the start of the New Year as per the Marathi calendar. Padwa, will be celebrated with much enthusiasm throughout Maharashtra and neighbouring regions. Smt. Sunitidevi Singhania School halls and classrooms too rejoiced and brought in the new year on Friday 1st of April 2022. The day started with a 'संकल्प' writing activity, as a part of personal new year resolution.

Selected students from each section dressed in customary traditional attire of नऊवारी साडी and कुर्ता-पायजमा, went to all the classrooms on the floor, wished the class and spoke about the importance of Gudi Padwa in मराठी.

The students, were further engaged in decorating their classrooms, many even brought traditional dishes for lunch; Puran poli, Masale Bhat, Shrikhand Puri etc.

All in all it was a lovely day full of festive spirit. To the entire Sunitian family, "नववर्ष आणि गुढीपाडव्याच्या हार्दिक शुभेच्छा".
