Financial literacy is the ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing. When you are financially literate, you have the foundation of a relationship with money, and it is a lifelong journey of learning.

In connection to this, the students of Grade 6 were asked to bring the game of Monopoly. Monopoly is a game of strategy that offers ways to manage your money while teaching you about building a secure financial future. The students were divided into groups and time was allotted to play the game.

Through this game many real life money lessons are learnt like to start saving early, plan for unexpected expenditure, how to make economically sound choices and take informed decisions.
