To educate and make the students, teacher and staff aware about fire emergencies, fire mock drills were conducted as part of the fire and evacuation drill day at Sunitidevi Singhania School on Tuesday.

All the students, teachers, staff and security personnel were explained on how to respond to fire emergencies with ease.

The drill was performed to create awareness among the students about firefighting techniques and ways to respond swiftly in times of such emergency situations.

A fire alarm team, evacuation team, rescue team, firefighters team, first aid team, transportation team were formed to prepare students, teachers for such eventualities under the risk reduction programme. The evacuation operation began moments after a fire alarm alerted the students. They were immediately evacuated from their classrooms and asked to gather at the assembly area.

It was organized to check the readiness of the school to face any such fire emergency and make the students and staff familiar with the fire-fighting rescue procedure.

The fire-fighters were armed with necessary equipment required for fire-fighting and rescue operators assisted the teachers and students in the mock fire and evacuation drill.

The drill was an excellent way of making the protocols used in fire emergencies known to all the students, teacher and staff at the school. These periodical exercises help in navigating through such crisis better and safer.
