The students of Std. 7 took part in ‘Just a Minute’ session conducted as part of activity of the History lesson “A sultanate in the Subcontinent”. The students spoke impromptu for a minute on the given topic “If I were a Sultan”. Students could either choose to become a Sultan of Delhi Sultanate or favourite ruler of their choice. More than 80 students took part in the activity via google meet and delivered a one-minute speech on how India would be, had they been a Sultan. The activity showcased students’ ideas on transforming administration, religious, trade and economic policies. The students donned costumes using accessories available at home. The activity helped the students reinforce skills of public speaking, research and develop an appreciation of challenges involved in governing a large state or empire.
