"The Bharat Scouts and Guides is a voluntary, non-political, educational movement for young people, open to all without distinction of origin, race or creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and methods conceived by the founder Lord Baden Powell in 1907."
It was really an enriching and exciting experience which we gained while we were trained to become a Guide Captain by Maharashtra State Bharat Scout and Guides. The training was scheduled from 21st to 27th of Sep'22. These seven days just passed on giving us a complete excavation and exploration of the areas covered by the Scout and Guide movement. It is just like a game of outing being played by Scouts and Guides so that they can develop their potentials in physical, intellectual, social, moral and spiritual areas. And apart from all it just makes us realise the duties of ours towards our nation in order to create a better world. At the end of the training we were being provided a certificate of a 'Guide Captain' enabling us with the power of letting girl students join this movement. The Oath which is taken by each and every Guide itself makes us realise the duties and responsibilities it bears. Learning the types knots, their uses , providing first aid with all the minimum belongings all were just not to envisage but that it stands true to what it teaches through its values given in the Guide Laws.
It was really a great and valuable experience that we have received and I am really thankful to our institution and Our Head Mrs. Lakshmi Madhusudan for providing this opportunity.
