Growing children require good nutrition to build healthy bodies and fight diseases. Attitudes towards food are shaped during early school years, forming the basis for future eating habits. In order to inculcate healthy eating habits in children, an informative session was conducted by Ms. Priyanka Bankeraika, an accomplished dietician, Nutritionist and lifestyle wellness coach for Grade 4 on 20th Oct, 2023 in an interactive and fun-filled manner.
Some highlights of the session were the importance of Nutrition as a critical part of health and development, the importance of mindful eating, balanced diet, timely eating, eating in silence and enjoying the food and a sense of gratitude for the food that they consume.
Through focused lecture and audio-visual media, children were educated on the importance of correct nutrition required for healthy growth.
A quiz & word-search strengthened the concepts and made learning interesting. The children enjoyed the session.
