Show and Tell Activity – Topic: Healthy Food As part of our efforts to promote healthy habits and improve communication skills, a Show and Tell activity on the topic “Healthy Food” was conducted for Grade 2 students. The aim of the activity was to help children understand the importance of eating nutritious food and to encourage them to speak confidently in front of their classmates. Each student came prepared to talk about a healthy food item of their choice, such as fruits, vegetables, milk, dry fruits, and home-cooked meals. Children used props like real fruits, drawings, and food models to make their presentations more interesting. They also showed their creativity by presenting catchy jingles and slogans about healthy eating, which added fun and excitement to the session. They shared how these foods help us stay strong, grow well, and keep our body safe from illness. It was heartening to see how well they understood the value of healthy eating at such a young age. The activity was a fun, interactive, and educational experience that helped students become more aware of the food they eat and motivated them to make healthier choices every day.
