Independence Day Art Activity – Grade 2 To mark the 79th Independence Day, Grade 2 students took part in a creative art activity celebrating the pride and beauty of our national flag. The children drew and coloured our national flag using saffron, white, and green with the Ashoka Chakra carefully painted in blue at the centre. This activity not only encouraged creativity but also taught the students the meaning of each colour and the values it represents— courage and sacrifice, peace and truth, faith and prosperity. As a part of the activity, students also learned the basic rules of showing respect to the national flag. The classroom was filled with a sense of pride as each child held up their artwork. The activity not only enhanced their artistic skills but also deepened their understanding of India’s Independence Day and the values it represents.
