Std. 1- 4 Diwali Celebration

Oct 29, 2021

Diwali is the festival of lights which is celebrated across our country. The name ‘Deepavali’ literally means an ‘array of lights’. Teachers across all grades explained to students how Diwali signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair.

The school took the opportunity to ensure that the students enjoy the festivities and also learn something new. Students of grade 1, 2 and 4 donned their aprons and set about making yummy laddoos. 1st graders won our hearts when they regaled themselves by making yummy coconut ladoos and treated themselves to hands-on experience of celebrating the essence of Diwali joyously. The little Master Chefs of Standard 2 were all geared up to make sweets out of dates and nuts. The students rolled up their sleeves and made bite-sized portion balls by mixing the ingredients together and garnished the ladoos with their choice of dry fruit. Standard four students made chocolate - coconut laddoos with great enthusiasm. The recipe consisted of ingredients such as condensed milk, powdered Marie biscuits, cocoa powder, and desiccated coconut and crushed nuts.

Students from Grade 3 participated with zeal and zest and showed their creativity and expressed their deep care about the society by gifting hand-made diyas to their house helps as a token of love and appreciation for their hard work.
