Gokul Ashtami, Krishna Jayanti, Dahi Handi… these are the different names of the festival which celebrates the birth of the much loved “Krishna”

Students of the elementary section came traditionally dressed as Radhas and Krishnas with flutes, peacock feathers and matkas. There was a lot of excitement among the children as teachers narrated stories and antics of “Baal Krishna” and enacted the breaking of the “Dahi Handi”.

Grades 1 and 2 students made beautiful drawings and coloured the pot of Lord Krishna. Students of grades 3 and 4 were involved in matka decoration activities.

The celebration was a great opportunity to inculcate the value and co-operation, respect and team spirit in the students.
