Candle lights, earthen lamps, homes filled with the smell of delightful sweets, the warmth of family and friends and the chill of the upcoming winter, that’s how we’d like to paint a perfect picture of Diwali celebration in India.

On this joyous occasion, the elementary section celebrated Diwali with their usual enthusiasm. Teachers explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Grade 1 students prepared beautiful lanterns and decorated their classes. Grade 2 engaged themselves in ‘toran’ making with eco-friendly materials. Grade 3 students decorated diyas with colors and glitter and also wrote a thoughtful message for community helpers. Grade 4 students prepared decorative pieces out of tea lamps.

The celebrations perked up the feeling of togetherness and affection amongst all students.
